Wellingtonians celebrate another year of excellent IB results!

Our 2025 graduates have attained an outstanding average score of 37.4 (out of a maximum of 45), well beyond the global average of 30.6—a remarkable achievement!
Additionally, two students achieved a perfect score of 45, an exceptional accomplishment attained by fewer than 1% of candidates worldwide.
One in three of our 2025 graduates achieved a score of 40 or higher, and our IB Core average score of 2 out of 3 is a testament to our College's commitment to holistic, well-balanced education.
The International Baccalaureate is celebrated for its academic rigour, but its true worth is in shaping resilient, curious, globally-minded learners. Our pupils meet its demands with extraordinary commitment—balancing time, passion, and intellectual ambition.
"The IB results reflect the hard work, determination and resilience of our leavers and we are extremely proud of their success," says Head of Sixth Form, Martin O’Brien. "As our Old Wellingtonians head off to leading universities in the US, UK and around the world, they can look back on their time here with pride and we cannot wait to hear about their future successes."
"I am incredibly proud of our Class of 2025," says Head of Secondary School, Dr. Charles Debieux. "Not only have they achieved outstanding results—with an impressive average score of 37.2 and two pupils securing a perfect 45—but they have done so fully embracing our Wellington values."
