Scholar and Scholarship Programme
At Wellington Shanghai, we inspire every pupil to discover their best selves, preparing them fully for higher education and life beyond school.
Rooted in this vision, our Scholar and Scholarship Programme supports pupils who demonstrate outstanding academic performance, contribute positively to the College community and show deep interest and exceptional potential in specific subjects. It's a unique opportunity for academic and personal growth.
• Global Recruitment: Open to students worldwide (Year 7 and above).
• Tailored Curriculum: Selected talents will enjoy a customized learning program.
• Tuition Reduction: Exceptional candidates may receive scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition fees.
• Three Pathways: Academic / Arts / Sports
For current pupils:
Scholarships are granted to pupils annually by the Scholarship Committee. Pupils are nominated by leaders in the areas of academics, the arts and sport and then reviewed by the scholarship committee. Pupils (or parents) do not need to apply for this honour themselves.
For prospective pupils:
Families applying from outside the school are invited to complete the enrolment enquiry form. Our Admissions Team will then contact you to arrange the next steps in the process.
Our Campus
A modern campus in the heart of the Qiantan New Bund Area, along the Huangpu River—the largest international school site in downtown Shanghai—designed to inspire exploration, collaboration, and world-class learning.
Sports
Sports play an integral role at Wellington. We provide an inclusive and nurturing environment that inspires pupils to be resilient and independent learners and to cultivate a lifelong passion for physical activity. Throughout the academic year, our pupils have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sporting activities, both at home and abroad, competing against leading international and bilingual schools.
The Arts
It is the College's philosophy that every child should be developed in multiple ways. We firmly believe in educating the whole person, not just through academic studies, but by also allowing each individual to develop skills that will prepare them for the future. Within the arts we teach creativity, communication, teamwork, visual appreciation and the ability to make critical and aesthetic judgements, while developing skills and mastery within a discipline.
Specialist Learning Facilities
