KS1 Celebration of Talent show
01 Apr 2019
As we reached the end of the Lent Term, Wellington’s year 1 and 2 children in the Pre-Prep School took part in the first ever Celebration of Talent. This was an idea that our Deputy Head, Miss Newell was keen to turn into a reality. A surprisingly large number of children from both year groups turned up to audition. There was a genuine feeling of excitement from the children as we geared up for the two shows.
The year 1 pupils performed in the black box theatre and the Year 2 pupils took to the big stage in the College theatre. Parents, teachers and pupils all came to show their support and cheer on the performers. The variety of talent and performances shown was impressive to say the least.
The acts included; magicians, dancers, singers, violin and piano players, martial arts experts and even stand-up comedy! It was great for us to see some of the hidden talents of our pupils, that we would not normally see. We hope look forward to the Pre-Prep School Celebration of Talent becomes a Wellington tradition that will be enjoyed by our pupils and community for years to come.
