CISSA volleyball season starts with triple win for Wellington

31 Jan 2018
This week our boys in the C1 (U14), C2A and B (U13A and B) teams were in action for their first games of the CISSA volleyball season, with the C1 and C2B teams travelling to Dulwich and the C2A team entertaining YCIS. The C1 team lost the first set but quickly found their rhythm, winning the next two sets, finishing as 2-1 winners. Milo and Alex both made a significant impact for the C1 team's performance and the final scoreline. The C2A team, playing at Wellington against YCIS, started very strongly by winning the first two sets. Unfortunately, they couldn’t make it three from three but still ended as 2-1 winners. Leonardo and Romeo both deserve special mention for the C2A team. The C2B team, also playing away against Dulwich, started the game slowly, losing the first set narrowly but then came back to win the next two sets, also finishing as 2-1 winners. Tyler and Diego both played particularly well. With all three teams securing well-earned victories against their respective opponents, this was a great start to the CISSA volleyball season and each team is looking forward to their future games over the course of the next eight weeks.   Nick Starbrook Director of Sport Wellington College International Shanghai
