Swim Squad in action at Nanjing

29 Jan 2018
The recent Nanjing swim meet turned out to be an exceptional event for all Wellington swim team members, from the first-time competitors to the senior pupils who were a great help in organising their younger peers to ensure that they made it to their races on time. Given the combination of the recent winter break and the fast-approaching exams for the senior swimmers, organising a swim meet so early on in the term was somewhat difficult but the results speak for themselves: the Wellington Swim Squad achieved 4 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze medals as well as two trophies. Agnes Yu won 1st in her age group with 21 points, while Damian Tang gained 14 points to win 2nd in his age group. The entire swim squad and I would like to thank our extraordinary coaches, Mr Miladinovski, Mr Hambling and Mrs Colombo for their constant encouragement and exceptional training, as they have doubtlessly helped each team member become the best swimmer that they can be.   Nick Starbrook Director of Sport Wellington College International Shanghai
