Wellington swimmers in action at SCIS Hongqiao

On the 14th-15th of October, the Wellington swim squad participated at SCIS Hong-Qiao for a swim meet hosted by the school. For many new swimmers this was their first time representing Wellington, so everyone was keen to give their best performance. Both days started off with an early warm-up, followed by around a full day of exciting races which represented various age and length categories. Everyone on the Wellington squad achieved at least one personal best and we all definitely had a great experience, with plenty of ribbons, medals, age group winners and an overall rank of 5th out of 18 schools to celebrate. Our coaches were incredibly supportive and encouraging throughout the competition and the end result is one I think we can all be proud of. Thierry (Year 8)
