Synchronized swimming ASA

08 Jun 2015
As most of our students and parents know, one of the key aims of the PE department at Wellington is to offer as wider range of different sporting opportunities here at the college as we can. We firmly believe that by taking part in as many different types of sporting activities as they can, our students will build a life long love of sport and healthy living. That in mind, this term we are fortunate enough to have another ex-international with us training our students. Miss Oleysa Boyko, a former member of the Ukrainian National Synchronized Swimming Team now living in Shanghai has been in the College taking a small team through the demanding sport of Synchronized Swimming. A combination of ballet, gymnastics and swimming this sport is a test of strength, stamina and a high degree of skill and balance. The girls in the ASA have been working hard to perfect the moves and have been putting together a routine, which, we hope to be able to showcase before the end of the term.
