A lifelong journey of learning starts at Wellington
Why Wellington?
Wellington College International Shanghaiis a co-educational day school serving children aged 2 to 18. By blending the best of British and international educational approaches with a forward-thinking wellbeing programme, we provide a pioneering education to help shape a better world. Guided by our ‘Be You. Be More.’ ethos and our core values of kindness, responsibility, respect, courage and integrity, Wellington empowers pupils to be the change they hope to see in the world.
An education that produces outstanding results

Creating young learners, connectors and changemakers
Every Wellington pupil embarks on a complete educational journey where they become lifelong learners with the passion, intrinsic motivation and critical thinking that enables them to solve real-world challenges. Along the way, they will become connectors with the confidence, openness and empathy to bridge cultural chasms and bring our world closer together. They also aspire to be changemakers with the knowledge, networks and commitment to better serve their community and make a positive impact on the future.
A strong parent-teacher partnership
The Friends of Wellington (FOW) is our parent and teacher association and brings the school community together to share, contribute and celebrate. It is integral to College life as it hosts several key events throughout the academic year. The FOW also contributes to the wider community and promotes the Wellington value of kindness through annual fundraising and charity activities.
A campus purpose-built for holistic education
Our campus offers endless opportunities to put our values into practice and we hope these will be guiding principles for our pupils as they navigate life well into adulthood.
