The Wellingtones in Shanghai
Wellington College International Shanghai recently welcomed Wellington College UK's a cappella singing group The Wellingtones, and it was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen ties across our global family of schools.
During their stay, the pupils immersed themselves in Chinese culture through a traditional opera workshop and performed at Red Lane nearby. The highlight was a collaborative concert in the College Theatre, where The Wellingtones joined orchestras from Wellington College UK, Wellington Shanghai and Hiba Shanghai. Together, they dazzled audiences with vibrant renditions of popular hits by Carly Rae Jepsen, George Michael and Justin Bieber.
