As the Michaelmas term draws to a close, we celebrate a fantastic few months of progress, commitment and positive energy from our Aqualions swimmers.

This term has seen strong engagement across all squads, with pupils showing growing confidence in the water and a real sense of pride in being part of the Aqualions programme.

This term has been defined by a strong sense of team spirit. Pupils have encouraged and supported one another, showing positive attitudes even during the most demanding sets. We've seen a growing appreciation for effort, consistency and resilience, and throughout it all, an incredible group of parents has stood firmly by our side, offering unwavering support.

Highlights of the Term

The Aqualions organised two of the most impressive events of the year in Shanghai: the Shanghai Swim League 1 and the ACAMIS Senior Swim Championship. Thanks to the professionalism of our parents and volunteers, both meets ran seamlessly and earned praise from visiting schools, with comments such as "best ACAMIS ever."

Our squad also travelled to the Singapore National Short Course, returning with six medals, twenty finals, more than a dozen school records and two national records for Malaysia.

We claimed the ACAMIS Senior overall trophy for the first time in the school's history – a remarkable achievement made possible by every pupil's contribution.

Record-Breaking Achievements

Across school, SSL and ACAMIS competitions, the numbers speak for themselves: over one hundred records broken this term alone. Some performances were strong enough to put our pupils on the radar for Division 1 NCAA universities.

More Than Just Times

Alongside major competitions, we held in-school race practices, time trials and skill sessions focused on turns for all strokes. Team-building activities included a movie night where pupils watched The Grinch from floats in the pool.

These experiences reinforce an important lesson: progress is not only measured by times, but by habits and mindset.
