Check Out Our Inaugural Wellington Shanghai Alumni Reunion Day
Over 40 Old Wellingtonians from Classes 2017-2024 returned to campus, many for the first time in several years. They were joined by the newest OWs - the Class of 2025 - for a day of networking, reminiscing and, of course, some good old fashioned House competition.
The day started with Old Wellingtonians from past classes touring around campus led by their former teachers. Many had not seen the newest campus updates such as the recently refurbished Main Dining Hall, Secondary Hub, Common Room and various academic zones across both Primary and Secondary.
“Even in just one year, a lot has been changed. It's good to come back and spend the time with everyone!"
- Aaliyaa Doamekpor
Class of 2024
“Wellington will always have a special place in my heart. I was in the first graduating class. It’s really good to be back.”
- Nikki Gupta
Class of 2017

Alumni were delighted to catch up with their former teachers such Head of Secondary School Dr. Charles Debieux, who, as a founding member of Wellington Shanghai staff, taught many of them.
“Seeing our alumni return fills me with immense pride. Some I taught from the very beginning, others more recently—but each one carries forward the values and spirit of Wellington. Their journeys are a testament to the strong foundations we built together."
- Dr. Charles Debieux
Head of Secondary School
Alumni Reunion Day is an opportunity for Old Wellingtonians to visit the campus and meet with the newest additions to this dynamic community which spans the globe. It is held annually on the Monday following Speech Day.

The centrepiece of the day was an epic dodegball tournament in the Sports Hall pitting Class of 2025 OWs against OWs from previous classes plus staff. Everyone donned House shirts to amp up the competitive vibe. We are pleased to report that older OWs and staff prevailed in the end. Laughter, cheers, and friendly rivalry made it a true bonding experience.

"Dodgeball taught us to dodge, duck, dip, dive and eventually call our teacher by their first name without flinching."
- Amdo Villemonteix
Class of 2025

Finally Old Wellingtonians and teachers gathered for a meal in the Main Dining Hall.
"At Wellington, graduation is not the end of our pupils’ journey, we support them in the fourth stage of the Wellington experience, strengthening a vibrant, engaging, and enduring connection with our alumni and their families wherever they are in the world."
- Brendon Fulton
Master
