Welcome to The Bee Story | Lower Prep Production 2019
27 May 2019

Our huge cast of 57 performers has been happily buzzing about the College singing songs and acting in character as Grumble Bee, Queen Bee, The Bee Police, wasps, worker bees, the Nectar team and, of course, the Waxworth family.
This environmentally-friendly production was designed to educate our audience about the importance of the humble bee, while purposefully linking the production to our current IPC topics.
Needless to say, all the children were very enthusiastic and completely dedicated to perfecting their parts throughout rehearsals – much like real bees!
Amy, who played Tumble Bee, said: “It was fun learning the waggle dance – I was so exhausted afterwards.”
Anqi and Chloe, who were playing worker bees, both agreed that performing in the show was fanatic and once it was over they eagerly asked when preparations for the next Lower Prep show will start!
The production team, composed of Mrs Heatley, Mrs Mulliner and Mr Wood, all thoroughly enjoyed developing the children’s performing skills in singing, acting and dance. Related Articles
