Nine wins from twelve in CISSA C1 Volleyball CRE

18 May 2018
Wellington volleyball teams were in action in various locations around Shanghai last week for the CISSA volleyball cross river events. After a six-week season, this event brings together both sides of the Huangpu River for a series of matches between schools from Pudong and Puxi.   The C1 boys and girls teams travelled to Concordia and recorded a fantastic rate of 9 wins from 12 matches, with exceptional performances coming from Milo and Sam for the boys, and Stefania and Keira for the girls. The C2 girls travelled to SAS Pudong and improved as the tournament went on, winning three of their last matches as Sophie and Seren gave star performances for their team. The C2 boys went to SCIS HQ and carried on their earlier good form exhibited during the league, winning four matches from six.   Overall, it turned out to be a great day for Wellington volleyball and we look forward to a large number of C1 players moving up into the senior teams next year.   Nick Starbrook Director of Sport Wellington College international Shanghai
