Boys victorious in closely fought match with Concordia

25 Sep 2017
It has been a busy two weeks for our SISAC boys and girls volleyball teams as we approach the midterm break. Our girls teams played against Dulwich and SAS PD on Monday and Concordia on Thursday – both matches resulted in 2-1 defeats but each was extremely closely fought. Impressive performances came from Anya against Concordia and Isabella in both matches. The boys took an early lead against Dulwich on Monday but thanks to an unfortunate few final set serves they lost the match 2-1. However, the team managed to achieve their first victory on Thursday against Concordia. The boys snatched the first set from behind, winning it 25-23, lost the second by 10 points but came back strong in the third, winning 17-15. Next week, both the boys and girls teams have plenty of opportunity to show their prowess again, as they have matches against YCIS, NAIS and SMIC.
