Keira and Anson make semis in SHSID tennis tournament
22 Apr 2017
Wellington entered its first tennis competition last Saturday at SHSID, with eight keen girls and boys representing the College in a ten-team SSSA tournament. This has followed the weekly morning tennis team sessions which ran throughout last term. The newly formed team enjoyed some great successes, particularly in the U13 age group where Wellington had three players in the last eight (Hoy, Anson and Keira) while two made it to the semifinals. It was a great effort from all involved and special thanks must go to the parents and coach who took the team to the competition on the day. The team has continued to train together during this term in preparation for the upcoming tennis tournament in Beijing in June.
