A win and a loss for the boys CISSA basketball teams
20 Apr 2017
Wellington had a mixed start to the CISSA basketball season, managing both a win and a loss. The C1 boys played at home to SMIC, who fielded a strong team for this fixture. Our boys competed well and scored ten points through Owen’s skilful shots, but lost the game 40-10.
The C2 boys fared better in their game against SCIS PD. Playing away from home, they won comprehensively, with a final score of 26-4 as Rodrigo (one of the youngest in the team) scored three baskets while Aaron managed four. Overall, this constituted a good start to the season and next week we have four further fixtures arranged for both the girls and boys basketball teams.
