A great start to the U11/U9 rugby season
17 Feb 2017
The U9 & U11 Wellington College International Shanghai rugby season kicked off at Dulwich College Shanghai on Saturday with two U11 teams and a solo U9 team representing the College. It was a fantastic day out with several of the boys not only making their team debut but also playing their first competitive game of rugby.
Even though these games were friendlies, as we build up towards the finals on the 18th of March, the boys certainly made progress throughout the day and there was a vast improvement in all facets of play for both age groups, particularly with regards to their tackling technique. From the 10 matches played, we won five, drew two and lost three.
Congratulations to all those involved and we are all looking forward to our next big fixture, which will be at Wellington College this Saturday.
