Impressive medal haul for Wellington College swim team at FOBISIA
16 Feb 2017
The Wellington College Swim Squad enjoyed another hugely successful swim meet at the third Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) Swimming Championships 2017, hosted by the International School of Brunei.
The competition took place in the world-class facilities of the Olympic Aquatic centre, where we witnessed excellent performances from six hundred competitors drawn from British International schools all across Asia. Wellington College entered 19 strongly determined girls and boys from all age groups, all of whom were ready to give their maximum effort over three days.
Ultimately, our squad members managed to win 58 medals in multiple disciplines spanning more than 170 events. Every member of the squad deserves a massive commendation for their performances and achievements, as they all contributed to Wellington College finishing 4th in the overall in the team placing. Tommaso with 8 medals, Agnes and Damian with 7 medals, were the pupils winning most medals overall. A terrific effort from all the swimmers involved! Related Articles
