Wellington shine at Jingcai cross-country meet

19 Nov 2016
On Saturday November 19th, five runners represented Wellington at the Jincai cross-country meet. The runners were:  Tommy, Agnes, Ro’I, Jason, and Lucia. The Wellington runners were the class of the field, bringing back 4 first place medals and 1 second place medal. In the U13 Division, Agnes defeated all runners to win the girls’ first place medal.  Tommy, who was running up an age category, finished right behind Agnes and took the boys’ first place medal.  In the U15 Division Jason and Ro’I ran a very fast race working as a team to outpace the competition.  Jason took the first place medal, while Ro’i finished fast on his heels for second place.  Lucia carried Wellington’s hopes into the U19 5K race, and she did not disappoint.  Running at a very disciplined rate, she quickly outpaced all of the girls in the competition finishing just behind the fastest boy to win the girls’ race. Please congratulate these hard working athletes for their stellar results.
