Joint Development Agreement with Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau

On Tuesday 1 November, representatives of the Senior Leadership Team welcomed the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau Pudong Branch Expo Park Police Department to the campus to further the cooperation and friendship between the two organisations. During the visit, both parties signed a joint development agreement highlighting Wellington’s commitment to build a safe campus environment for all the pupils and our full dedication to engage with the Shanghai community.

Since the establishment of the College in 2014, the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau have helped to create and build a safe campus environment for our pupils and parents.  Mr. Liu Guangming, Deputy Director of Pudong Public Security Bureau and Head of Expo Park Police Department, visited the campus several times to ensure that the campus premises are safe for all.

Gerard MacMahon, Master of Wellington College, Shanghai thanked the police’s continuous support, including the daily patrol around the campus and the training provided to school bus drivers and guards. The College looks forward to a stronger partnership in the future, including the opportunity for pupils to visit the police dog training centre, the firefighting department and special force training.
