Agnes, Tomasso and Damien win golds at the SASPD/ISB Invitational swimming meet

01 Nov 2016
Another big test for the Wellington Swim Squad, this time at the SAS/ISB swim invitational where over 800 swimmers from 39 schools took part from schools all over China at Shanghai American School Pudong. Our swimmers matched the very high standards over three very long and tiring days and recorded a high number of personal best times and finishing 6th overall in the team event. A fantastic achievement considering the size and quality of the opposing schools. Individually, Agnes achieved 3rd overall for her age group tallying two gold and two silver medals. Damian achieved an impressive haul of one gold and three silver medals and Tomasso just missed out on finishing third overall but went home with a gold, silver and a bronze medal. Other medal winners were Zoe (one silver and bronze), Leigh-Ann (two bronze) and Jade (bronze). Congratulations to everyone involved – especially Mr Miladinovski, Mr Hambling and Mrs Colombo for their hard work preparing the team. Next is The Singapore Invitational at the Singapore American School 27-28th November. Good luck team! The Aquatics Team
