Wellington College SSSA athletics champions

19 May 2016
Last Saturday Wellington hosted the Shanghai Schools Sports Association Athletics meet. Athletics is very popular at Wellington and we entered a full squad of over 50 athletes for U.11’s through to U.19’s. Students competed in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, relay, shot putt, javelin and long term. Wellington performed very well on the day and came away with a number of individual medals, new PB’s and they won the overall school award. A number of Wellington students were also awarded a trophy for the best athlete in their age group, these included: Jade Franetzki – U.11 Girls Louis Flint – U.13 Boys Coco Brandini – U.13 Girls Leigh-Anne Franetzki – U.15 Girls Jospeh Hua – U.19 Boys Elise Dalle – Piagge – U.19 Girls Many congratulations to all of our athletes and I would also like to thank our parents and staff for supporting the event and the students.
