Kristina Waller

Primary Class Teacher 

Kristina is an experienced and passionate educator with over 12 years of teaching experience, specialising in Lower Key Stage 2 and supporting EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners. She holds a degree in Design: Photography from the Exeter School of Art and completed her PGCE in 2008, qualifying as a teacher in East London.

She began her career in the diverse borough of Newham, where she taught for four years before moving abroad. Her international journey led her to Bangkok, where she taught Years 5 and 6 and led English and intervention programmes across the school. In 2015, Kristina relocated to São Paulo, Brazil, taking on leadership roles as Head of Year 4 and Head of English for over four years. During this time, her son, Zeno, was born.

After a period back in the UK, Kristina returned to Brazil, where she most recently taught Year 2 in Brasília. Her creative and globally focused teaching style integrates cross-curricular learning to make lessons meaningful and engaging. She is committed to nurturing global mindedness and helping pupils connect classroom learning to the wider world.

Alongside her PGCE, Kristina holds a TEFL certificate and is a qualified yoga instructor, incorporating mindfulness and well-being into her educational practice. She has a love for the outdoors, travel, and exploration, having spent recent years between Europe and South America. In her free time, Kristina enjoys music, the arts, visiting museums, and sharing joyful, active experiences with her family.
