Yifan Qiao

Teacher of Secondary Art

Yifan holds an MPhil in Arts, Creativity and Education (Distinction with Note) and a PGCE in Secondary Art and Design from the University of Cambridge, alongside a BA in Fine Art from the University of the Arts London. Her educational journey spanning China, New Zealand, the UK and beyond fuels her commitment to global and intercultural learning.

Professionally, Yifan bridges arts education and international collaboration. As an event coordinator at a leading Shanghai international school in her previous role, she organised multiple cross-border events, from large-scale educator conferences to student exchanges across four continents. Earlier, as an art and design teacher in the UK, she empowered secondary students through creative curricula and university summer school programmes. At the heart of her work lies a passion for student agency, innovative pedagogy and dialogue across cultures.

Outside the classroom, Yifan is a lifelong explorer – whether admiring art in galleries, riding horses, perfecting her tennis swing or discovering new restaurants in Shanghai. She embraces the philosophy that education, like art, thrives on curiosity and connection.
