Originally from County Tipperary in the midlands of Ireland, Ciara Dooley has more than a decade of experience as a full-time mainstream class teacher between years 1 and 6. Nine of these years she spent teaching in a large school in County Kildare just outside County Dublin. Here Ciara gained experience teaching through the mediums of both English and Irish (the native language of Ireland), a challenge she thoroughly enjoyed. Ciara is passionate about creating a positive and encouraging learning environment for all her students. She believes in fostering a love of learning and creativity in each child, while also promoting their social and emotional development.
Ciara graduated from Mary Immaculate College (University of Limerick) in 2013 having earned her bachelor’s degree in Education degree. She graduated with an honours degree in education and Irish. In 2022, Ciara became a member of the school management team while also teaching full-time in the classroom. Her role as a member of the in-school management team was to lead the school community in the subject areas of visual arts, music and drama.
In her free time, Ciara loves to sing and dance. She has performed in numerous musicals throughout her time in County Kildare. Ciara has a keen interest in travel, cooking and learning about other cultures. She enjoys reading, running and spending time with family and friends.
