Ben Dargie

Y5 Teacher

Before teaching, Ben was a project engineer at an engineering consultancy, where he worked on various projects in the utilities industry. After several years, Ben decided to change careers and completed his CELTA in London. This took him to South Korea to work as an EAL teacher at an international school in Seoul. After three years, Ben returned to the UK, where he was a year 3 teacher and Computing Coordinator at a primary school in Buckinghamshire. Five years later, he moved to Indonesia where he served as a school’s Science Coordinator and a year 5 teacher for four years.

Ben studied geographical information systems at Kingston University and went on to complete his PGCE at Oxford Brookes University in the UK. He also obtained his CELTA qualification from International House, London.

Away from school, Ben tries his best to keep up with his two energetic young children. He enjoys travelling and his wife and two children. He also likes to watch and play sport if the opportunity is available. In particular, he likes to play football, squash and rugby.
