Chris is originally from Liverpool and graduated with a BSc (Hons) in architectural technology before pursuing a PGCE inprimary education. Over the past eight years, he has worked in schools in the UK and internationally, including Thailandand China, where he spent five years.
Chris has extensive experience teaching in various settings, including Early Years and Prep. Throughout these years, he has developed a strong understanding of different curriculums, such as the English National Curriculum, IPC andinquiry-based approaches like Reggio Emilia. Recently, he has been teaching in Key Stage 1 and has previously held leadership positions as a coordinator and assistant head.
Outside of the classroom, Chris has a passion for endurance sports, ultramarathons, hiking and travelling. He is dedicated to supporting the local community, which has led to various experiences, including co-founding Suzhou Striders, a nonprofit fitness community in Suzhou, and serving as an award leader for the Duke of Edinburgh International Award, leading students on Bronze and Silver expeditions. Chris is accompanied by his partner, Lauren, andtheir son, Cody, who was born in Shenzhen and will join the Wellington Community when he reaches the appropriate age.
