Reception Teacher

Paula comes from a small coastal town in South Africa and has lived in Asia for close to a decade. She comes toWellington’s Early Years Centre by way of our sister school Hiba Academy Shanghai, where she taught for 4 years. Before that, she gained experience working in Thailand and Hong Kong, both in Early Years settings. She has experience acrossthe Early Years, having taught Reception, Nursery and Pre-Nursery ages.

She graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with an LLB and then furthered her studies with a PGCE from Durham University, followed by a QTS qualification from the UK.

In her free time, she spends time with her rescue dog Franki, exploring the neighbourhoods and coffee shops of Shanghai. She enjoys travelling to new countries and experiencing different cultures around the world.
