Laura completed a BA in Classical Studies and Philosophy from Royal Holloway, University of London. For the past 4 years Laura has been teaching in a multi-cultural school in the southeast of England. She has taught in year 3, year R and year 1. For the past 2 years she has been working closely with my year R colleague focussing on the transition between year R and year 1 and how to make it as smooth as possible. For the past year she has been phonics lead making sure that the teaching of phonics is consistent in the school and ensuring that children have the right skills to pass their phonics screening in the UK. In Laura's spare time she enjoys cooking especially baking. She likes travelling and is looking forward to travelling to new places in China and experiencing lots of new things.
