Originally from the US, Nichole has worked in Early Years education in China for 22 years. She originally arrived in Beijing a 24 years ago for a Chinese language course at Tsinghua University, but after starting a family, she discovered her passion for teaching little ones. Over the course of her career, she has pursued studies in dual-language learning, educational innovation and improvement and, most recently, early education leadership.

Outside of work, Nichole loves to spend time creating digital drawings on Procreate, reading histories of China and biking around the French Concession (and finding its xiaolongbao and pastry shops) with her family. She has two children with her in Shanghai. One is a toddler who is just learning to talk. The other is an IB pupil at Wellington. Her oldest son is currently in Switzerland at the prestigious ETH completing his master’s degree in biotechnology.
