Kitty Yan graduated from Shanghai Normal University with a major in preschool education. She has accumulated 12 years of experience working in schools in Shanghai. In her role, she actively supports children's language development during daily curriculum activities and shows a genuine interest in understanding their hobbies and interests. Kitty has a knack for observing children's behaviors and activities, and she provides relevant assistance and support accordingly.
Kitty possesses a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum content aligned with both the British education system and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) system. She is also adept at assisting teachers in completing their teaching tasks. With her practical experience in teaching English, she effectively engages with pupils in both individual and group settings, utilising a wide range of supportive techniques such as leading, questioning, and explaining. Additionally, she is capable of independently teaching phonics-related knowledge to groups. Furthermore, she offers support to individual pupils in class to enhance their language, reading, and other skills.
Kitty highly values teamwork and derives great enjoyment from spending time with children at school. She demonstrates patience when interacting with children, willingly listening to their stories, and employing open-ended questions to foster critical thinking. She firmly believes in the potential of every child to succeed and is wholeheartedly committed to helping them achieve their goals.
