Shaun Gingell

Teacher of Art

Originally from Sunderland, England, Shaun discovered his calling in visual arts at a young age. It led him to earn his BA in fine art from the University of Lincoln and then an MA in the same from Sunderland University.

Shaun’s passion for exploring different cultures has taken him to South Korea, Cambodia and China, where he has taught art to a wide range of learners. During this time, he completed a PGCE and a PGDip Artist Teacher to further his professional development. For the past four years, Shaun has specialised in teaching Primary School art. Working with children in this cohort has been the most rewarding part of his career because of the artistic freedom he gets to share with his pupils.

Outside of teaching Shaun engages in self-exploration through a dedicated practice of yoga, meditation and making and exhibiting art.
