Michael Warner

Michael Warner

Head of Examination PE

 

Michael has been teaching for 15 years. He started his career in his home country of Canada, teaching PE and various other subjects before moving to South Korea and then China. While in South Korea and China, Michael has taught science and physical education, ranging from key stage 2 to 5. In addition to his teaching experience, Michael has previously served as an IGCSE coordinator, overseeing the delivery of the IGCSE programme at another international school. Having a keen interest in meeting the needs of English language learners, he is a certified trainer of teachers for the Teaching in English in multilingual classrooms programme. Michael also has extensive experience in curriculum development projects in his various schools.

 

Michael has completed a bachelor of science degree in nutrition and dietetics from Acadia University. In addition, he has received a post-graduate bachelor of education degree with certification in physical education and science from the University of Western Ontario and a Master in Education in Athletic Coaching from Northcentral University.

 

Outside of school, Michael’s interests include running, gymnastics and playing volleyball. Unrelated to physical education, he enjoys studying Korean, having previously studied it at Seoul National University and Sungkyunkwan University. He also enjoys 'trying' to train his dog.
