Juta Xu graduated from Liaoning Normal University where she majored in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. She has subsequently had over ten years of experience in teaching Chinese in an international school. She has been awarded both the Certificate of Teaching Mandarin and Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. Juta teaches using a principle that blends the best innovative and enquiry-based Western educational models with the culturally rich and disciplined traditional Chinese educational models. Outside the classroom, Juta enjoys playing violin, practicing calligraphy, reading and travelling.
