Sherry graduated from East China Normal University in 2004, majoring in Teaching Chinese Language as a Foreign Language. She then went on to obtain an MA in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages at Fudan University. She is certified by EDI in the UK and by the International Association for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages in the US. She has 10 years of international school teaching experience and has been part of Wellington College International Shanghai since 2014. In her capacity as Head of Foreign Language Chinese, Sherry plays an active role in curriculum design and developing teaching methods. She is effective at helping pupils develop a solid foundation of the language and has helped many of them achieve high scores on their IB (Language B and Ab Initio) and IGCSE (Foreign and Second Language) examinations. Outside the classroom, Sherry has a passion for art and handicrafts. She enjoys drawing and watercolour painting and maintains a keen interest in reading, visual arts, film and theatre.
