Teacher of Chinese (Lower Prep)
Mavis received a master’s degree in teaching Chinese as a second language from Shanghai University and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and literature. She holds a Certificates for Teaching Mandarin and a Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
Before joining Wellington, she worked as a Primary and Middle School Chinese teacher in the international division of a Shanghai-based school. She also taught Chinese in Hong Kong and Turkey for almost two years. Mavis loves working with children and is good at encouraging pupils. She also likes to explore interesting teaching methods and colourful teaching resources.
In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, Chinese calligraphy, reading and music.
