Originally from Hong Kong, Jack was brought up and educated in England. He holds a BEng (Hons) degree in mechanical engineering and an MEng degree in building services. Jack returned to Hong Kong in 2013 to work in an international school and completed his PGDE at the University of Hong Kong.
Jack then joined an international school in Suzhou, where he taught IGCSE physics and chemistry. He later took up additional pastoral roles as the school’s deputy coordinator of CCAs and a head of house. In this capacity, he monitored the progress of the pupils’ performance both academically and intellectually. He annually led the pupils to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award at the Bronze and Silver levels, taking them on Adventurous Expeditions, like camping, kayaking, cycling and hiking. In 2021, Jack became a year 5 science teacher and then head of year 7 at a British international school in Shanghai.
Outside of school, he enjoys CrossFit training to stay healthy and energetic. He is also a highly skilled swimmer andhas participated in both long- and short-distance open sea swimming competitions.
