Year 3 Teacher & Head of English

Marion studied graphic design at Lincoln University. After graduating, she moved to Carlisle to train professionally as a teacher, completing her PGCE at Lancaster University. Over the years, Marion has taught in both mainstream and international settings in London, Guangzhou, Tokyo and Shanghai. She has experience teaching from reception to year 6.

Marion is a firm believer of lifelong learning. After more than a decade of teaching within the British system, Marion moved to the International Primary Years Programme. She developed inquiring, thinking and risk-taking attributes in her teaching. Marion is committed in promoting pupil agency for every child to be lifelong independent learners.

In her spare time, Marion enjoys photography and painting. She loves spending time with her two dogs and is an activevolunteer to a stray animal’s rescue center in Shanghai. Recently, she has wanted to do something different, so she hasstepped out of her comfort zone and started boxing lessons.
