Academic Fellows Coordinator | Teacher of English Language and Literature

 

After receiving his BA Joint Honours in English and history from University College Cork in 2011, Rory completed his CELTA course and moved to Chiang Rai, Thailand, where he taught English and social studies before returning to Ireland the following year to complete his Professional Diploma in Education in English and history. Rory then moved to Ashford, Kent, where he spent two years teaching IGCSE English. Rory joins Wellington following four years teaching at an international IB school in Dubai, where he taught English language and literature up to DP level and served as Head of Year for the duration. His interests include reading, writing short stories, fitness and music particularly the guitar, ukulele and singing. Rory is also an avid traveller and is eager to explore Shanghai and its surroundings.
