Yi obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering for life science at the University of Cambridge. After graduation, she became a chartered accountant and worked as a financial consultant at one of the world's leading accountancy firms in both London and Shanghai for more than 10 years.
After many years of working in the financial sector, she realised the importance of education and developed a strong passion for education. She decided to obtain a PGCE from Durham University and started her career in international teaching.
Yi is an avid traveller and has been to many exciting places including Antarctica. She also enjoys playing board games and practicing yoga.
