Originally from Norwich, UK David Slade began his career as a year 4 teacher at a local school, where he had the opportunity to train the football and athletics teams. After leaving the UK, he joined The British School, Rio de Janeiro, where he led Mathematics and was part of the team responsible for introducing the IPC curriculum. In his most recent post at The Sultan's School in Oman, David was responsible for Science across the Primary School. David holds a BA (Hons) in Economic and Social History from the University of East Anglia. Before even graduating, he began to volunteer at a local primary school, following in both his sisters' footsteps to become a teacher. The following year, David returned to the University of East Anglia to complete his PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education). David is an avid traveller, spending most of his holidays exploring new places. He has a young daughter, Isabel, with whom he cannot wait to explore the world. He also has a dog named Doguinha, who was rescued in Brazil, and a cat called Pacoca, who he adopted in Oman. At the weekends, you will most likely find David cycling, running or walking his dog.
