Hector graduated with a first-class BA in human movement sciences degree and a postgraduate certificate in education from The University of Pretoria. He strongly believes in lifelong learning and has also obtained his National Professional Qualification in leading teaching. In addition to his academic qualifications, He has obtained coaching certifications in various sports disciplines.

Since embarking on his teaching career in 2016, Hector has taught pupils from years 1 to 6, catering to diverse cultural backgrounds and learning needs. He consistently inspires all pupils to realise their full potential. In 2019, Hector and his wife, Monique, relocated to Ningbo before settling in Shenzhen, where he assumed the role of co-curriculum coordinator at his school. They were also blessed with the arrival of their daughter in February 2023.

Hector is an avid sports enthusiast who delights in playing golf and has an insatiable appetite for acquiring new knowledge. He thoroughly enjoys outdoor activities and exploring new destinations with his family and friends. Over thepast four years, Hector and his wife have had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout China, immersing themselves in the culture, relishing local cuisine, and appreciating the country's breathtaking scenery.
