Joanne has a wealth of experience teaching in both the UK and internationally in a career spanning two decades. She has taught across all age levels from Pre-Nursery to year 13 in various roles and subjects in different schools. Joanne joins Wellington to teach year 2, having transferred from Hiba Academy Shanghai. 

Born and raised in Ireland, Joanne completed her university degree and teaching qualification in London. After graduating, she continued to teach in Southwest London for 10 years before leaving for Shanghai. During this time, she completed a post graduate diploma in education and worked with two London Universities as a mentor for trainee teachers.

Joanne has lived in Shanghai since 2011 and loves life in this vibrant city. She loves to travel with her husband and two daughters, exploring China and beyond. She also enjoys keeping fit, cooking and baking with her family and socialising with friends.
