Tarra comes to Shanghai from Auckland, New Zealand. At school, she discovered her love for Accounting and English and from there decided to become a teacher so that she could share her passion with others. She has been teaching commerce since 2013 and enjoys making the subject come to life. She is passionate about creating activities that will get students out of their seats, thinking critically, and solving problems that businesses of today face. These activities encourage students to think out of the box, draw on their existing knowledge and seek new ideas through research.   She attended Massey University, where she received a Bachelor of Business Studies, Bachelor of Arts, and her Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary).   Outside of the classroom, you will find Tarra working with budding entrepreneurs as she guides them in following their dreams of starting their own businesses. In her spare time, Tarra is a keen baker and cake decorator. She also enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures. This is Tarra's first international teaching post and she is excited about exploring China.
