Mr Maynard embarked on his teaching journey in 2014 when he commenced his training in Essex, England. Over the next fouryears, he dedicated himself to educating year 5 pupils from diverse backgrounds in and around London.

In 2018, Mr Maynard began a new chapter by relocating to Beijing. During his time, he expanded his teaching expertise by instructing year 3 and 4 pupils. Additionally, he assumed the role of reading lead, taking on the responsibility of fostering a love of reading among his pupils.

Prior to his teaching career, Mr Maynard pursued his passion for philosophy at Reading University, where he studied the subject in depth. His own teaching philosophy is firmly rooted in putting children at the forefront of the learning experience. He believes in engaging pupils through purposeful activities that encourage critical thinking and holistic development.

Beyond the classroom, Mr Maynard has a diverse range of interests. Sport and fitness play an integral role in his life,and he actively participates in team sports like rugby and football during weekends. In his leisure time, he tries to visit the gym every day and he also enjoys reading, watching films, and playing the guitar.
