Charlotte has spent a total of four years teaching in Hertfordshire, UK. She started her teaching career in year 6 and spent the remaining three years teaching in year 1. Since being a teacher, Charlotte has co-led literacy across the key stages, with a focus on writing, and has been a PHSE leader and helped her previous school achieve their healthy Schools status. At Northumbria University in Newcastle, Charlotte studied geography and achieved a BA First Class (Hons) degree. While studying, Charlotte visited a local primary school weekly to gain first-hand teaching experience, before embarking on her teacher training year. She completed her PGCE at Newcastle University where she represented the university in dance competitions as part of the Newcastle University Dance Society. Charlotte is a keen geographer, thus teaching internationally appealed greatly! She was drawn to the busy, diverse cultural experience which Shanghai can offer and is looking forward to travelling around Asia in the summer. In her spare time, she particularly enjoys both watching and performing ballet.
