Beverley is from Gloucester, England. She earned a bachelor’s degree in sport development from the University of Gloucestershire in 2013 and her PGCE from the University of Gloucestershire in 2019. Beverley was part of the cheerleading team at the University of Gloucestershire, which led her to be involved in a school sports initiative across Gloucestershire schools to encourage girls to participate in school sports.
She has a passion for travelling which led her to work with children in America as a camp counsellor and activities coordinator during her summers at university. After university, Beverley worked with students with autism, special educational needs and behavioural difficulties in secondary and primary schools.
She moved to China in 2015 to gain experience working in the international education community and taught at bilingualschools in Beijing for six years. She worked as a reception and grade 2 teacher while learning about the culture of Beijing. In 2021, she relocated to Shanghai, where she was a year 4 teacher and English coordinator in her school.
Beverley really enjoys exploring new places and has visited many countries whilst living in China. In her spare time, she likes to go to the gym, spend time exploring the city and spending time with friends.
