Robbie Davies

Head of Safeguarding and Mental Health

Robbie joins us from the City of London Freemen's School in Surrey. After beginning his career in the Sports Department at Trinity School, he trained as a teacher of Politics and History, and he worked in both the maintained and independent sectors. He has taken on several roles in his career, always with a focus on wellbeing and pastoral care. His most recent post was Head of Upper School at Freemen's.   He studied at the University of Nottingham and the University of Toronto, reading American Studies and History while representing both on the rugby field. Robbie has a passion for travel, and, having lived overseas before, is relishing the opportunity to experience a new culture (and significantly, cuisine) while seeing everything Shanghai and Asia has to offer. Outside of the classroom, Robbie's interests are focused on sport and the outdoors. Since hanging up his rugby boots, he enjoys challenging himself in any form of athletic activity, from triathlons to functional fitness. He has also been exploring the relationship between physical and mental wellness in recent years, something which he is keen to develop and promote at Wellington.
