Emma graduated from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2012, attaining a bachelor’s degree in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. She went on to earn a master's degree in linguistics and applied linguistics at East China Normal University. During her master's studies, Emma decided to work as a Chinese volunteer teacher at the Confucius Institute at the University of Turin in Italy, thus starting her teaching career in a primary school.
Prior to joining Wellington, Emma taught for several years at Shanghai-based international schools. This experience has provided her with valuable insights into international education and bilingual teaching methods. Furthermore, Emma considers herself a lifelong learner and is constantly striving to improve her skills through ongoing professional development and research.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys traveling, going for jogs and engaging in leisurely reading.
