Mike joins Wellington College Shanghai from Trinity School in London where, on top of Teaching both History and Politics up to A-Level, he has been a Head of Year for the past four years. As his first international posting, Mike is relishing the opportunity to get stuck in to everything that Shanghai and Wellington have to offer, and is particularly excited about taking on his role as head of Wellesley House. Before joining Trinity to start his teaching career, Mike completed his undergraduate degree in History at Oxford University and went on to study for his PGCE at the University of Warwick. He has recently just completed his MSt in History having defected to Cambridge University, specialising in Early Modern British History. His historical interests are, however, most definitely eclectic, ranging from the Crusades through to the American Civil Rights movement. When not reading History books (some stereotypes of History teachers are true) he is an avid film and TV buff and can quote most episodes of the West Wing (along with most other Aaron Sorkin creations) from memory.
